If you haven't heard, Ukraine has received quite a bit of snow!
Especially in my Rivne city.
Unfortunately it's not quite the right type of snow
for making a snowman, but still with all this snow,
it seems like the best thing to do would be to celebrate some
Winter holidays!
Unfortunately it's not quite the right type of snow
for making a snowman, but still with all this snow,

Winter holidays!
Today I'm celebrating Christmas !
Ukrainian Christmas (Jan 7) is much quieter, less commercialised
and more religiously oriented.
New Years and St. Nicholas Day are the 'gift giving' holidays,
but Christmas is a time to be at church and spend time with family.
January 6th is a big evening meal with 12 meatless dishes.
Of course every Ukrainian has their own traditions for this meal,
but I know that for sure Кутя "kutya" -
cooked wheat, with honey, poppy seeds and nuts -
will be at every ukrainian table!
Christmas is a really really exciting time at everybody's house,
I love waiting for Колядники (kolyadnyky) - caroler's
(usually small groups of children) going house to house
singing and collecting sweets and small amounts of money.
Not surprisingly we have two !! New Years to celebrate as well!
We did celebrate with the World on December 31st/January 1st
and then we'll celebrate Old New Year on the 13th/14th of January.
I love Old New Year's because children will come to my house,
singing again, but this time they greet each home by forcefully throwing
sprinkling the floor/corridor with wheat seeds for and prosperity with the New Year.
This usually happens pretty early in the morning, and you can't clean it for 3 days!
So I hope everyone has a very blessed and merry Christmas
wherever, whenever, and however you celebrate!
sounds fun!!

DeleteI wanna you to help me on something please. I have only one hand to use it in a design on a photoshop and illustrator and i can't hold shift.ctr or alt key to make nice selection or make nice curve. So what should i do to solving this.please tell me you are good girl
ReplyDeleteHello Mohamed! I appreciate your support and kind words. Unfortunately, I'm not a specialist to give you advise on that kind of situation. From my experience, to make a nice curve - you don't need your both hands. At least, when it comes to drawing in Photoshop on graphic tablet. I believe key combinations can be also replaced by using tools panel in Psd and Ai. Anyway, what I know for sure - if you really want to do something - there is always a way. Where there's a will - there's a way! I wish you all the best!
Deletemany thanks to you and i will search to find the resolutions but tell me what do you mean by graphic tablet ? and if you want say that i can replace the tools panel in a Photoshop and illustrator how can i do that? finally do you mean by tablet Wacom tablet or another kind ? just tell me please and finally thank you for your interesting and your vineyard
DeleteExactly, Mohamed! By graphic tablet I meant Wacom Intuos or any other graphic tablet. And when you start Photoshop, the Tools panel appears at the left of the screen. Some tools in the Tools panel have options that appear in the context-sensitive options bar. That's what I meant by tolls panel. Good luck!
